Because my primary instrument is euphonium I decided to write music for euphonium. Not being a fan of solo music, or recital music (instrument + piano accompaniment), I focused on writing euphonium for quartets by taking string quartet instrumentation and substituting instruments. This resulted in euphonium, tuba, violin and viola, which can be used to create changes in tamber (as was attempted at letter C). The real melody doesn't come in till letter A, making the first 28 measures a long introductory section. That material was used for the transition at measure 75 and 126 and the violin material at letter C. The music was designed to be 143 seconds long.
